Akaka Falls, Big Island, HI, posted by M.

On a class trip we visited the very beautiful Akaka Falls on the Big Island of Hawaii. We had the opportunity to meditate at a number of very powerful and beautiful places.

The Gorge, posted by Y.

We drove to the Anza Borrego desert with much anticipation.  I had done quite a bit of hiking over the last couple of months to get in shape for the soft sand so I was eager to test my muscles.  I remembered the energy I felt from my trip two years ago, and I was hoping for a repeat experience.   I took my hiking sticks with all my other paraphernalia and began walking.  Gradually everyone passed me and there was a small group behind me.  I like to hike in silence and feeling myself being absorbed into the rocks so I walked alone.

We arrived at the first meditation spot with all the 4 wheelers and dirt bikes flying by and tried to meditate.  Eventually I gave up and did some gazing and just enjoyed the feel of the desert and my thoughts dwelled on the guardians of the gorge.

We then hiked deeper into the gorge to another meditation spot.  I immediately felt that I had more strength and stamina and zoomed to the  next spot.   Once again I focused on gazing and the feeling of absorption and enjoying the stillness.

We turned around to exit the gorge and I was excited to feel that wild energy pushing me out of the gorge.  I raced out of there.  I was happy.

The Rama Meditation Society had a group hike and meditation at Font's Point around New Year's day, 2016. Font's Point is located in the Anza Borrego desert, southeast of San Diego.

Desert Meditation, posted by D.

After about a mile hike into the gorge, we stopped to mediate as a group. As I sat down to mediate a humming bird flew in from my right. Hovering for a few seconds, it then flew from my right side around my back to my left side. Again, hovering for a bit and then the humming bird flew off. I thanked the humming bird for making a presence.

I could feel the energy of the desert vibrating as I sat on the desert sand. The approximate 30 minute meditation was filled with colors. I felt strong forces of energies at each of my three chakras, which is not typical during my home mediations. At the end of the mediation, I practiced gazing at the mountain. I saw white light at the top of the mountain, and a few colors along the hillside (various shades of lavender and grays).

As we proceeded to walk out of the gorge, I felt powerful, peaceful, and blissful. It was so beautiful and perfect. I did not want to leave. I said goodbye and thanked the desert numerous times. It was simply amazing!

The Aloha Worlds, posted by G.

Aloha seeker. I am Madam Pele'.
I love all that I am aware of and exist in love
Not in time, but I am a mirror of the Goddess
From her, all forms arise in the cosmos
All are sustained.

Aloha tourists, people of the earth.
Be excellent to each other and be good stewards of nature.
Know that if you visit Hawai'i you come to God.
For I am Her reflection, empty of all notions.
Enlightened Goddess, I bring forth divinity.

Oh mankind what a brief flash you are,
Coming into view between the light of millions of ages,
Creations distant to even the flickering eons of Hawai'i;
Back and forwards from a timeless time into the Beyond of Form,
This is where my awareness roams ... in the Aloha Worlds.

Mankind do not be serious.
For in your seriousness you course in hate and war.
In your seriousness you destroy the earth.
At times, you reduce yourself to such darkness;
And yet, each one of you is divinity dreaming.

Reflections of the Big Island, posted by D.

Hawaiian power spots have a unique and intense feel as we are being graced with the Goddess Pele' and strength of Rama. After winding down the oceanfront highway where you could see the whales dancing in the distance, unaware that anyone was watching. I took my spot on top of hardened black lava to celebrate the Spring Equinox and lose myself to the power of the ocean, the Big Island and Pele'. As the day turned to night, with the wind blowing away all the negativity and cleansing my aura, all my thoughts vanished. My level of consciousness was lifted to unfamiliar areas of power and energy. Each power spot we meditated at had a different connection and were equally intense. As we hiked to obscure locations of power, with nicknames such as Dogtopia, North Nirvana and my favorite - Heaven, we were shrouded with shades of greens, flowers that can only be seen in the rainforest, and lava formations that left you wondering how. I escaped to the hidden places in my mind where you pulled your strength and power from as the trails seem to try and overtake me. I found myself wanting to walk gently to absorb earth's power with each step as not to leave a footprint. The power of Pele' and Rama wraps the conscious mind and carries you off the mountain. Hawaii has helped expand my levels of awareness and I felt powerful and energized after each meditation. I felt privileged to have been able to meditate with spiritual beings in such a beautiful locations. I have never been more awake!
